Dear Stakeholders,
Even after 32 years, coming into work every day at the company I founded still excites me. The energy and passion I see in our team is my proudest legacy.  We started as a two man trading company and today we have built a strong diversified business within the steel sector that has played an integral role in the industrialization and modernization of the UAE.  Today as we look to expand our geographic reach across the Middle-East, North African and the Indian Subcontinent, we are embarking on a new chapter in our history where we aim to become a global business.
 
As we look to the future it is amazing how the lessons of business don’t change from the past.  Our core values as a business and for me personally remain the same:

Integrity / Service above self / Leadership / Persistence / Discipline

I have led my life and my business with these core values at the forefront and they have always served me well.  Today I focus on my charitable foundation, Shyam Bhatia Cricket for Care which aims to bring the sport to the less fortunate children in this world; the concept behind the foundation is to teach children these very core values which I learnt as a young man playing cricket for my state in India and which gave me the tools needed to succeed in business.  
 
As always, I thank my customers, suppliers and bankers who have supported me and the business over the last 32 years, your belief in us is the reason for our success.
